PART 1
The first recipe for your beauty: APPLES WITH HONEY AND SPICES
Take 2 medium-sized apples, grate them add two spoons of liquid honey and add the spices. The choice of spices should be based on the type of illness you wish to treat.

For Kapha Dosha aggravated we recommend that the apples are very fresh, and that you use only one spoon of honey. As spices, you may use basil, mint (Mentha Piperita), ginger, cardamom, and clove. For Pitta Dosha aggravated use sweet apples and fennel, mint (Mentha Viridis), laurel, and basil.

For Vata Dosha aggravated use sweet and juicy apples, even more than two spoons of liquid honey, and fennel, basil, mint, coriander and nutmeg. You may replace the apples with other fruits: pears, apricots, and raspberries.

The second recipe for your beauty: JUICES MADE OF CITRIC FRUITS AND HONEY
Use lemons, oranges, grapefruits, and tangerines blended in a special machine. Use honey to your taste, the quantity to use is difficult to specify.

Moreover, the taste of the fruits themselves are different because the organic acids (responsible for the sour taste), the flavonoids (responsible for the bitter taste), the sugars (responsible for the sweet taste), and the eterical oils (responsible for the hot-pinching taste) are present in different quantities.

According to the quantity of honey used, to the type of the fruit, and to the part of the fruit used for the juice, the juice may be:

Sweet – obtained from the pulp of the fruit, and is based mostly on oranges and tangerines. This type of juice requires a greater quantity of honey and its main indications are in the aggravation of Vata and Pitta type.

How to prepare the juice: peel off the fruits, place them into the blender, and add the honey and water and then blend. You may add fruits or honey, to the taste. In the end, filter the juice. Drink while fresh.

Sour – obtained from the pulp of the fruits; based mostly on lemons and grapefruits. Add less honey. Persons with Vata Dosha aggravations should consume this type of juice.

How to prepare the juice: peel off the fruits, place them into the blender, and add the honey and water and then blend. You may add fruits or honey, to the taste. In the end, filter the juice. Drink while fresh.

Hot astringent – obtained from the pulp and the peel/skin of the fruit. You may use any of the citrus fruits.

How to prepare the juice: grate the fruit-peel (1-2 mm) as it contains volatile oils. Peel the white skin off the fruits. Place the grated skin and the pulp of the fruits in the blender, add honey, water and blend. Taste the juice to see if it is concentrated enough or if it needs more honey. In the end, filter the juice. Drink while fresh.

Bitter – obtained from the pulp of the fruit and its white skin. In this case, the determinant factor is the quantity of honey you use.

How to prepare the juice: grate the fruit-peel (1-2 mm) as it contains volatile oils. Leave these aside. Place the chopped fruit (including the white skin) into the blender, add honey, water and then mix. Place the grated skin in the juice for 3-6 hours, at the room temperature, filter it and put it into a glass or porcelain vessel.

In the treatment of the KAPHA DOSHA aggravations, we recommend bitter, hot, astringent and hot-astringent juices. Lemon and grapefruit juices are quite useful. Prepare them using the whole skin of the fruit (the colored part and the white part) because they are strong depuratives and help in getting rid of the adipose tissue and cellulite.

One day a week in which you should ingest only juices is highly recommended for slimming and purification of your organism. The condition for the success of this diet is that the transition to the daily diet be gradual, maintaining both the quality and the quantity of the food to a reasonable level.

In the treatment of the PITTA DOSHA aggravations, we recommend sweet, astringent and bitter juices. One day a week in which you ingest only natural juice is highly recommended for this constitutional type. The quantity required in order not to have the sensation of hunger is 0.5 to 2.5 l of juice.

In the treatment of the VATA DOSHA aggravated, we recommend sweet and sour juices. Generally, the treatment of these aggravations requires a greater quantity of not very concentrated juice.

It is recommended also that this juice have a greater quantity of honey, especially if you are confronted with physical weakness or constipation, as the honey has a rapid energizing effect and a mild laxative effect.

These juice recipes indicate the manner in which you may extract the essential substances, taste, and qualities we need from practically any fruit or vegetable.

Moreover, these modalities of preparing the food are at the borderline between dietotherapy and fitotherapy, between kitchen and pharmacy, illustrating the way in which the food is medicine, and an effective one.
