A fragile physical aspect and a reduced body mass characterize this constitutional type. The features are delicate and thin; the breasts are small and daring, with dark nipples. The skin is also dark.

The overall appearance of the body is frail. When harmonious, it creates the impression of something diaphanous. Women belonging to this constitutional type are very outward, voluble and interested in new things and adventures.

Their special gift is that of combining enthusiasm with mental effervescence and feminine intuition with fantasy (sometimes out of their control).

The main problems encountered with this constitutional type are:
1. At physical and dynamic level a feeble aspect of the body, with a poor vitality. This lack of vitality appears at VATA type that is not harmonized. It is not proper to women because femininity implies energy, vitality and also force.

The lack of vitality appears because of a whimsical appetite, oscillating between rich meals to inconsistent food. That’s why women of this constitutional type are fragile, they are not attractive, their breasts are too small and they seem too feeble.

The overall appearance is somewhat hirsute (the growth of hair on the chest, or in other unusual places for a woman).

2. At the psycho-mental level: the women belonging to this constitutional type waste too much of their resources on sudden impulses and too much of an appetite.

Under these circumstances the capacity to focus and perform certain actions is weak. The woman feels weak, exhausted and anxious. They go from loud initiatives to periods of tiredness and lack of vitality.

Women of this constitutional type should try to have a natural rhythm of life, with regular and consistent meals, and regular sleeping hours. They should also try some herbal diets. It is recommended that they have a normal life-style.

Profound and stable relationships are also necessary for reaching the harmony, as well as closeness to God and authentic religion, as this will make them experience states of inner peace and purity.

The advantages of women belonging to this constitutional type are a certain natural fragility and refined intuition. They have the great capacity to adapt and to integrate in anything new and unpredictable.

There are a lot of derived constitutional types out of the three AYURVEDIC fundamental constitutional types. The different proportions in the combination of the three DOSHAS determine all constitutions. It is a Sanskrit term that can be translated as a subtle forming factor. It determines certain specific characteristics and phenomena.

Each so-called pure constitutional type is determined by the preponderant presence of a DOSHA subtle factor in a person. For example, the pure KAPHA constitutional type is determined by the KAPHA DOSHA element, though PITTA DOSHA and VATA DOSHA are also present in the structure of the person in discussion, yet in smaller proportions.

So, even a pure PITTA type will have KAPHA DOSHA and VATA DOSHA in the structure of that particular person, but in smaller proportions.

It is possible for a person to have a mental pattern corresponding to a certain constitutional type and the psychic and physical structure corresponding to another.

For example, there are women, typically KAPHA from the physical point of view, who talk much and are outward, which are VATA characteristics, and whose mind is yet capable of following clearly and precisely certain aims, typical PITTA DOSHA.

1. VATA disharmony at VATA constitutional type manifests as body dryness. The chest is small and flat, the skin is roughing, dry, and sometimes darker than usually.

There are states of insomnia, excitement and anxiety. Frequent problems are constipation, indigestion and slow digestion.

2. VATA disharmony at PITTA constitutional type manifests as a psychic stress, excessive nervousness and abnormal excitement. Such women tend to lose weight, the chest becomes hard and painful and sometimes it even gets smaller.

There can be excessive hair-growth on the chest, accompanied by feelings of frustration and insecurity. The appetite is deranged and there might be some constipation problems.

3. VATA disharmony at KAPHA constitutional type comes more often on a tire or negative-emotions background. It manifests through a deranged appetite and mental confusion.

The chest becomes a little smaller; the interest for erotic activity diminishes or changes suddenly. There are also constipation and migraines. Sleep doesn’t bring out rest; the person can’t find herself anymore.

Generally, the most common causes for the VATA DOSHA aggravation are: stress and fatigue, an excess of stimuli such as alcohol, tobacco, coffee, black tea, drugs, sensorial stimulation (“overdose” of TV, loud music, etc.) or a chaotic nourishment.

It manifests usually when there are material problems involved: unemployment, the house or the social status. Frequent trips, journeys, and lack of sleep, exhausting life, they all lead to the aggravation of VATA DOSHA.

In our society there are the most numerous premises for VATA DOSHA aggravation. It is quite a common situation.
